What a Wonderbowl World
The bowling alley experience you’re used to probably looks a little like this: 60-foot lanes, 15-inch pins, a variety of bowling balls ranging from 6-14 pounds, and maybe a few bumpers if your bowling skills aren’t totally up-to-par. Shoes that are guaranteed to ruin your outfit are required, and it always smells like greasy food and sweaty feet. You never know what to expect when it comes to the music they decide to play, and unless you are avid bowlers, it’s typically a laughable family adventure. Regardless of all the silly quirks regular bowling alleys contain, we love and enjoy them anyway. If you’re looking for a small change in scenery and something to do in your “spare” time, then Bob & Willie’s Wonderbowl should be next on your bucket list.
Bob & Willie’s Wonderbowl is similar to your traditional bowling experience, but everything is smaller — it’s mini bowling! The lanes are about half the size, the pins are 7 inches tall, and the bowling balls are the size of a grapefruit. They all weigh 2.5 pounds, which means less time figuring out which bowling ball weight will work best for you. These mini bowling balls don’t have any holes, so your fingers aren’t at risk of getting stuck. Half the size, twice the fun, and no un-trendy shoes are required here.

The Lincoln location will have a two-lane party room that can accommodate up to 40 guests, so birthday parties are sure to be a hit here. Wings, pizzas, phillies, sliders, hot dogs, pretzel bites, jalapeno poppers, and fries — you name it, and it’s probably on the menu. Food can be ordered a-la-carte or set up as a buffet. There’s even a full bar available for the adults! Wonderbowl is a great place for team building, date nights, family outings, and everything in-between. Whether you’re 6 or 96, you’ll be sure to enjoy yourself here. The expected opening is mid-to-late October.
Namesakes Bob and Willie King were the inspiration for Bob & Willie’s Wonderbowl. They were a husband and wife bowling team who were extremely active, participating in at least 10 leagues a week from 1955-1980. Bob and Willie were well-known and well-respected throughout many local lanes.
